Let me explain you a very simple method, how you can save or earn minimum 10% (few people earned even 25%) from Costco in Quarter 4 2018 (Oct to Dec). You need to have two things, first Costco membership (Please read how you can get Costco Membership free) and second you should be a discover card member not more than an year.
Now lets buy Costco Cash card through discover card on program “discover double cash back first year“. You might heard Costco is accepting only VISA card and its true, Costco store is only accepting VISA card but Costco.com is accepting VISA, Master and Discover card (Please see image below). In Quarter 4 2018 (Oct to Dec) Discover card will give you 5% purchased on Amazon and wholesale club. Costco comes under wholesale club. I already confirmed by calling discover card customer care.

If you are already a discover card member then still you can apply for another card to take advantage of “discover double cash back first year” . I personally have 2 discover cards because in Festive seasons we buy a lot things from Amazon and Wholesale clubs. Costco Cash is basically Costco gift card can be purchased by Costco member but Members and non-members may use the Costco Cash Cards to shop at any Costco location in the United States, Puerto Rico, Canada and online at Costco.com (note: Costco Cash Cards have no expiration date)
What if you have unused Costco Cash
- You can anytime stop by Costco and redeem Costco Cash card to full Cash. (They claim as- Cash Card balances under $10 are always redeemable for cash. Amounts over $10 may be redeemable if required under state law. But i tried with $200 in TX & CA and they gave cash without any question asked)
- It never expires so you can use in future when you wish not to have membership. I do not see any big reason for not to have membership.
- You do not have to have a membership to shop at Costco to shop there if you are using Costco Cash, so you can sell that to any of your friends and you will definitely earn at least Thanks from him.

How can you earn 25% from Costco
I have seen many Ebay sellers are selling Costco card with 10%-25% margins and still people are buying Costco cards because they do not want to spend money on membership. It always will have benefit if you purchase Costco cash with new discover cards. If you have 2-3 discover cards then i will suggest to purchase as many costco cash as you can. Discover will give 5% rewards on $1500 purchase and then 1% and if you are applying new discover card then you will get 0% Intro APR† for 14 months on purchases and balance transfers. So you will get additional 14 months to pay discover card balance. I personally purchased approx $3000 Costco cash with $300 discover rewards earning. I use Discover rewards to redeem Gift card with additional 20% benefits so $300 rewards will give me $360 Gift cards.
